Afghanistan's crucial year

It's already been a critical year for Afghanistan - a Peace Jirga was set up in June and an earlier conference in London agreed that Afghan forces should aim to take the lead role in providing security in a number of provinces by late 2010, opening the road to a reduction in foreign troops. But it's proving a difficult hope to realise. On 20 July, foreign ministers will join national leaders for the Kabul Conference which will mark the next step in the drive to stabilise the country. BBC World News brings you the latest reports from the conference with the BBC's Lyse Doucet live from Kabul. Can the country turn a corner and move in to 2011 having overcome some major hurdles standing in the way of significant progress? Reports from 19 July
